Meet Your Mentor — Leilani
42+ Years as a Doula & IBCLC | Mentoring Providers Worldwide
I didn’t learn what I know from a textbook.
I learned it in the middle of the night, sitting with exhausted mamas, watching babies struggle to feed, and supporting families through some of the most vulnerable moments of their lives.
For over 42 years I have worked as a Doula and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant — supporting families through feeding challenges, infant sleep, newborn cues, and everything in between.
By day I work as a lactation consultant, sitting face to face with families navigating the hardest parts of the feeding journey. And when I’m not supporting families directly, I am mentoring the next generation of IBCLCs — guiding student lactation consultants as they find their footing and grow into the confident, skilled providers the world needs more of.
This means when I mentor you, I am not teaching from memory. I am teaching from what I did yesterday.
But what drives me most isn’t just supporting families. It’s equipping the providers who support them.
I have mentored IBCLC's, doulas, newborn care specialists, and nannies around the world — Including many Christian providers who feel called to serve families not just with skill, but with faith, compassion, and purpose.
This mentorship is everything I wish I had when I was starting out. Built from 42+years of real situations, real families, and real solutions.
Whether you are brand new or have been serving families for years, if you feel called to show up with greater confidence and clarity-you are in the right place.
You don't have to figure this out alone. I've got you.

Here’s what providers are saying after joining the mentorship
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“As I was starting out as an IBCLC, having the opportunity to learn from Leilani made an incredible difference in both my confidence and my ability to care for families. She brings such depth of knowledge and experience — but what stands out even more is the way she connects with families and makes them feel genuinely cared for and understood.
Watching her work taught me not only the clinical side of lactation support, but how important empathy, reassurance, and trust-building are in providing truly excellent care.
Because of her mentorship, I now feel so much more confident working with families. The care I provide is stronger, more compassionate, and more effective because of what I learned from her.
I am incredibly grateful for her mentorship and the lasting impact she has had on both my professional development and the families I now serve.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“When I started mentoring with Leilani, I was at the very beginning of my journey to become a lactation consultant — with only a theoretical understanding of the many breastfeeding challenges families face.
Through months and then years working under her guidance, I learned how to show up for clients with compassion, empathy, and the practical support that actually improves breastfeeding outcomes.
Leilani was instrumental in building my confidence as a care provider for parents in such a vulnerable time — and she continues to be a valuable resource, forever generous with her time and knowledge.”
— Kayla Maltese, Lactation Consultant | San Diego, CA
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
“Before working with Leilani, I struggled with confidence in presenting myself as a trusted source of information for families — especially in a world where so many parents turn to AI tools and YouTube for answers.
Through her mentorship, I learned how to simplify complex feeding challenges, communicate evidence-based information clearly, and guide families with confidence and compassion.
I now show up with greater trust in my knowledge — helping families feel informed, supported, and empowered in their decisions.”
— Ella Thompson, Doula & Student IBCLC | San Diego, CA
